ECHL Kalamazoo Wings

Countdown To Face-Off

March 3, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release

It's a midweek battle in the Keystone state, as the Kalamazoo Wings tangle with the Johnstown Chiefs. This evening is the final regular season encounter with the teams. Kalamazoo leads the season series over Johnstown with a record of 2-0-0-0, winning both games by a single goal.

Starting the month of March in second place in the North Division six points behind the Cincinnati Cyclones, the K-Wings also final themselves tied for fourth place in the American Conference with the Florida Everblades. Tonight starts a season-high seven-game road swing for Kalamazoo.

Despite a victory over Cincinnati over the weekend, Johnstown has a record of 2-8-0-0 in their last ten games and it would seem their playoff hopes are slipping away. With 38 points, the Chiefs are last place in both the East Division and the American Conference.
