Grizzlies Continue Road Trip Wednesday

California Dreamin'

The Grizzlies continue their seven-game road trip this week in California with four-games-in-five-nights starting Wednesday in Bakersfield. Utah has played nine of their 33 games overall this season in the Golden State. After this weekend, the Grizzlies will have played 13 of their 37 games in California.

Leave The Light On For Us Again!

The Grizzlies have been frequent visitors to California's Highway 99 corridor early during the 2006-2007 season. Utah plays their fourth game of the season in Bakersfield Wednesday, their third and fourth games of the season in Fresno Friday and Saturday, while paying their fourth visit to Stockton Sunday.

Comparison

After this weekend, Utah will have played 13 games in California and only 11 at the E-Center.

Home Stretch

After this weekend, the Grizzlies return home for 25 of their final 35 regular season games.

More Fun With Las Vegas

The Grizzlies return home Friday and Saturday January 19 and 20 hosting Las Vegas. Utah's last home game was a 4-3 win over the Wranglers on December 30.

A Special Player

11 of rookie all-star Andy Sertich's 15 points have come on special teams. Friday in Alaska, Sertich had five special teams points. (1 shorthanded goal, four power-play assists.)

Team Record Tied

The 2006-2007 Grizzlies continue to press all-time team records offensively. Friday, Sertich's five points tied an all-time team record, now set four times. Most recently, Rob Valicevic had five points during a game February 19, 2004 at the E-Center versus Cleveland in the AHL. Brad Herauf set an all-time Grizzlies record November 4, 2006 at Idaho with four goals.

Power-Play Record

The Grizzlies tied an all-time team record with five power-play goals in Friday's 6-4 win over Alaska.

Sean Makes The Save

Goaltender Sean Fields tied a team season-high with 51 saves Saturday in Alaska. Fields won 32 games (4th in the ECHL) last year with the Gwinnett Gladiators, leading them to the Kelly Cup Finals versus Alaska. He has battled injuries early this season, missing over a month from October 21-November 25. His counterpart, former Vancouver Canuck, Rob McVicar had 51 saves opening night Friday, October 20 at Phoenix.
