Rouleau Recalled Back To San Antonio

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes and the San Antonio Rampage, have announced that defenseman Alexandre Rouleau has been recalled to San Antonio of the American Hockey League.

Rouleau, 23, earns his second call-up this season and the fourth of his professional career. The Mont-Laurier, Quebec native and fourth-year pro leads all RoadRunners' defensemen and is tied for eighth overall among ECHL blue-liners in scoring with five goals and 23 points through 31 games. He has totaled two assists and 16 penalty minutes in 15 career AHL regular season games and seven penalty minutes in two AHL postseason games, both with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Rouleau, who signed an AHL/ECHL two-way contract with San Antonio during the off-season, is a former third round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins at the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.

The RoadRunners and Idaho Steelheads continue their three-game series at 7:11 p.m. Wednesday from US Airways Center. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
