Bakersfield Condors News Release
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Condors lost Todd Griffith to the American Hockey League Monday, but added another high-scoring forward Tuesday, as Alex Kim officially reported to the team. Kim is expected to make his Condors debut Wednesday vs. the Utah Grizzlies.
Kim was aquired by Bakersfield from the Long Beach Ice Dogs on November 17th, but didn't report. In five games with the Ice Dogs, he posted four points (3g, 1a).
The 5'11" Fullerton, CA native played for the now- defunct San Diego Gulls last season. In 24 games he posted 16 goals and 22 assists for San Diego. Kim also spent time with the Portland Pirates and the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League. While in San Diego, Kim set a career-high with a 16- game point streak. He also led the Gulls in 2005-06 with a +17 rating and was named ECHL Player of the Week for March 20-26, 2006.
"Alex is a player with great potential who hasn't had a chance to live up to it at this point in his career," said Head Coach Marty Raymond. "He will add a lot of skill to our team."
