
Grizzlies and Altitude Sports and Entertainment Reach Broadcast Agreement

DENVER, COLORADO & WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH * Altitude Sports & Entertainment (Altitude), the Denver-based regional sports and entertainment network, and the Utah Grizzlies of the American Hockey League (AHL), today announced a multi-year telecast agreement where Altitude will present live coverage of select Grizzlies contests on the network, beginning with the 2004-2005 AHL season. Shelly Harper, Senior Vice President of Programming for Altitude, and Dave Oldham, President for the Grizzlies, made the announcement.
Altitude will televise up to ten regular-season Grizzlies games, as well as select potential playoff games. Altitude*s first-ever Grizzlies telecast will be on Wednesday, October 13 (7:30 PM MT), when the Grizzlies open their 2004-2005 season against West Division rival the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks at The *E* Center in Salt Lake City.
Additional early season Grizzlies games to be televised on Altitude include: Wednesday, October 20 (7 PM MT) versus the Manchester Monarchs, and Wednesday, November 30 (7 PM MT) versus the Chicago Wolves.

The Grizzlies are beginning their 10th season in Utah and their 11th overall. Prior to moving to Salt Lake City in 1995, the Grizzlies captured the International Hockey League crown (the Turner Cup) while playing as the Denver Grizzlies. The team repeated as IHL champions in 1996, their first season in Utah. This season marks the first for Utah as the AHL affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes.
Altitude debuted on September 4, 2004, with programming from the Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Mammoth, Colorado Rapids, Colorado Springs Sky Sox, Colorado Eagles, Big Sky Conference, Air Force Academy, Metro State, ESPN Syndication (including Big XII Conference, Mountain West Conference and Western Athletic Conference events), RMAC, CHSAA and University of Northern Colorado, as well as other local and regional sports and entertainment programming.
