
River Rat Broadcasts return to Moon Radio

Albany N.Y. - The Albany River Rats announced today that Moon Radio AM 1160 WABY will serve as the club's flagship radio station for the second consecutive season. WABY, a 5,000-watt station within the Anastos Media Group, will broadcast all 80 regular season games during the 2004-05 American Hockey League season. Select games will be simulcast on Talk Radio 1240 AM WVKZ and each game will be available on the club's website at www.albanyriverrats.com.

"The ability to broadcast every single game this season with the continued help of the Anastos staff will ensure our fans in the listening area can hear River Rats hockey. Last season's arrangement confirmed to us the unwavering commitment of Anastos to provide the area's best local sports coverage."
Each Albany River Rats radio broadcast will begin 15 minutes prior to the opening face-off with the Capitaland Motors GMC Pre-Game Show. Play-by-play announcer Jonathan Scherzer will return to call the action for the top affiliate of the New Jersey Devils. The first regular season broadcast will be heard on October 15, 2004 when the River Rats open their 12th season against the Binghamton Senators at 6:45pm from Pepsi Arena.

Anastos Media has been operating in Saratoga County for the past six years. The company operates six stations in New York and New England, including STAR 101.3, WABY 1160, WUAM 900 and Talk 1240 AM WVKZ.
