KENT, Ohio â Garrett Stafford had a goal and an assist to lead the Cleveland Barons to a 4-1 victory over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks in a AHL preseason game Thursday at the Kent State University Ice Arena.
Marcel Goc, Jim Fahey and Scott Dobben also scored for the Barons. Patrick Rissmiller chipped in with a pair of assists. Cory Pecker scored in the first period for Cincinnati.
Mathew Yeats stopped 18 shots in the win for Cleveland, while Frederic Cassivi made 21 saves for Cincinnati.
The Ducks face the Barons at the Chiller North in Columbus, Ohio Saturday at 7:30 p.m. to complete at two-game preseason schedule.
