OZFM presents the St. John's Maple Leafs 'Seasons to Remember' Promotion

October 8, 2004 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Toronto Marlies News Release

The Maple Leafs would like their fans to "Celebrate" the past 14 seasons in St. John's and relive the numerous highlights of one of the most successful franchises in American Hockey League history. The Maple Leafs are planning a season long list of celebrations, recognitions and thanks to players, coaches and volunteers over the past 14 years who contributed to the success of the team in St. John's and the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

As part of the Maple Leafs build-up to Opening Night on October 21st the team's corporate partner OZFM will be hosting a "Seasons To Remember" contest starting Tuesday October 12th on the Dawn Patrol. Contestants will hear three statements about the St. John's Maple Leafs and are then given a choice of three consecutive dates as to when in the history of the team did the events happen. This falls in line with the team's Leafs Hockey-Celebrate theme and allows the Maple Leafs to reconstruct their 14-year history on air. Each daily winner will receive a pair of tickets to the Maple Leafs Opening Night game against the Syracuse Crunch. The Grand Prize winner, selected from all the daily winners, will take part in the Opening Ceremonies by dropping the puck for the final regular season St. John's Maple Leafs Home Opener.

The St. John's Maple Leafs kick-off the 2004-05 season on the road against the Syracuse Crunch October 15th, live on Radio Newfoundland at 9:00PM (930AM). The Maple Leafs' home opener is October 21st when they face the same Syracuse Crunch.

Season Tickets, Flexpacs, Group Sales and Single game tickets are currently on sale and may be purchased by visiting or calling the Mile One Stadium box office (709) 576-7657, 1-800-361-4595 or online at www.admission.com.
