Wolf Pack/Children's Home Golf Tournament

The Hartford Wolf Pack trade their hockey sticks for golf clubs this coming Tuesday, October 12 for a great cause. The team will take part in the fifth annual Golf For Kids, in support of the Children's Home in Cromwell. The tournament, to be played at the TPC River Highlands, has raised $80,000 in its first four years of play. This year, a few notable celebrities will join Wolf Pack players on the links.

WHAT: Golf for Kids Tournament

WHEN: Tuesday, October 12, 2004 Shotgun start: 10:30 a.m. Awards presentation: 6:00 p.m.

WHERE: TPC River Highlands, One Golf Club Road, Cromwell

WHO: Celebrities include: Glen Sather, Don Maloney, John Davidson, Sam Rosen, Mike Crispino All Wolf Pack players and coaches

BACKGROUND: The Children's Home, located in Cromwell, Connecticut, is a full-service treatment center, providing residential treatment, special education and outpatient therapy services for struggling children and their families. The Home has cared for those in need since 1900.

The mission of the Hartford Wolf Pack Community Foundation is to help fund charitable and non-profit endeavors that offer support to inner-city youth, amateur sport, and promote the health, education and well being of Connecticut's children.
