Cincinnati Cyclones News Release
Cincinnati, Ohio â The Cincinnati Cyclones, an affiliate of the National Hockey League's San Jose Sharks, today announced defenseman Ryan Gaucher and equipment manager Mark Mills have been selected to represent the club at the 2003 Compuware/East Coast Hockey League All-Star Game in Estero, Florida on January 21, 2003.
Gaucher, who is in his first season with the Cyclones, is in his fourth professional campaign. The native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan currently leads the Cyclones in scoring with 28 points (6g, 22a). Gaucher spent the majority of the 2001-02 season with the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks (AHL) after being signed as a free agent by the NHL's Detroit Red Wings in the summer of 1999.
Mills is in his ninth season with the Cyclones organization, having joined the organization prior to the start of the 1994-95 season when the club competed in the former International Hockey League. The veteran trainer is a native of Calvert County, Maryland and previously worked for the ECHL's Birmingham (Ala.) Bulls during the 1992-93 and 1993-94 seasons.
"It's a great honor for both Ryan and Mark to be selected by their peers to represent the Cyclones," said Cyclones Head Coach Malcolm Cameron. "Ryan has had a tremendous season on the ice for us. (Mark) Millsey is one of the best trainers at any level of hockey. We're lucky to have a trainer with his experience."
The Cyclones put their franchise-tying, seven-game home win streak on the line tonight against the Baton Rouge (La.) Kingfish at U.S. Bank Arena beginning at 7:05 PM.
Cyclones individual game tickets can be purchased at the U.S. Bank Arena Box Office between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and after 12:00 p.m. on weekend event days.
