December 18, 2002 - ECHL (ECHL)
Louisiana IceGators News Release

Lafayette, LA – The Louisiana IceGators will be going to Women's and Children's Hospital on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. to hand out teddy bears and gifts from the IceGators organization.

Another group of IceGators will be visiting Katherine Drexel Elementary at 12:30 p.m. to help close out the team's big December in the community.

Also, Thursday's Toys for Tots drive at Acadian Village has been postponed until Friday due to threatening weather scheduled to go through the area Thursday evening. Since the IceGators play in Mississippi on Friday, the team has announced that Alphonse the Alligator and T-Chomp will take the players' places. Also helping to fill in will be several players' wives and girlfriends, who will help with the collection of toys.

The first 500 people bringing a new toy for Maria's Toy Box into Acadian Village on Friday, starting at 5:30 p.m., will get in free, thanks to Region's Bank, and in addition will get a gift from the IceGators.
