TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign (28-15-3-4) play their second game in as many nights against the Alaska Aces (22-19-3-1). Ontario leads the season series against Alaska with a 3-1-0 record. The Reign are 20-17-1-1 against the Aces over the past five seasons; they are 8-7-1-0 at home in that same span of time. The Reign are second in the Pacific Division; three points behind Colorado for first place. Ontario has lost its last two matches.

WHITE-HOT:

Reign forward Matt White continued his torrid scoring pace for the Reign with an assist on Friday night, extending his season-high point streak to seven games (5g-4a).

DROP THE GLOVES:

Fans were certainly excited to see Jeremy Yablonski finally find a willing sparring partner on Friday, as the Reign alternate captain engaged with Justin Johnson for his first bout of the season. Since breaking into the pro ranks with the WCHL's Phoenix Mustangs in 2000-01, Yablonski has racked up over 1,400 penalty minutes in 383 pro games in North America.

PICKING UP POINTS:

Despite dropping Friday's contest to the Aces, the Reign can take some solace in the fact that the last time the team lost two consecutive games at home, it occurred back in October. Jason Christie's squad has continued to pick up points and string together wins over the course of the season; as a result, the club has the fourth-best win percentage in the Western Conference.

POWER-PLAY CLICKING WITH REGISTER:

In the past 10 games, the Reign have managed to convert on the man advantage a total of eight times. Three of those eight goals have come from the stick of Matt Register, who has already set a new single-season career high with four power-play goals.
