INDIANAPOLIS - In the eighth of nine head-to-head meetings between the two teams this season, the Indy Fuel were defeated by the Cincinnati Cyclones at Indiana Farmers Coliseum on Saturday by a final score of 4-1. With the loss, Indy fell to 19-23-4-3 overall this season and with 45 points, remain alone in sixth place in the ECHL's North Division standings.

Cincinnati stormed out to a 3-0 lead on Saturday thanks to first period goals from Steven Hodges and Stephan Vigier, at 13:15 and 13:33 respectively, and a Christian Minella score at 5:51 of the middle frame. The Fuel's lone Saturday tally came courtesy of leading Indy scorer Garett Bembridge at 10:24 of the second as the veteran winger blasted home his 18th marker of the season on the power-play thanks to assists from Nick Bruneteau and Nicklas Lindberg. A late empty-net goal for Chris Reed capped the scoring at 18:06 of the third and delivered the Cyclones a 4-1 win.

Mac Carruth took the loss in net for the Fuel despite 21 saves and Sam Brittain stopped 17 pucks in victory for the 'Clones. Saturday's loss snapped a five-game winning streak for the Fuel and a nine-game winning streak for Carruth and is just the second regulation defeat for Indy in the team's past 16 games.

Saturday's game featured the wedding of die-hard Fuel fans Scott and Connie Keen at center ice during the first intermission with Fuel mascot Nitro serving as best man, the Pit Crew serving as Bridesmaids and Fuel broadcaster and ordained minister Tony Brown officiating the ceremony.
