Solar Bears Bolster Roster with Murovich, Watling

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies, announced that they have agreed to terms with F Tyler Murovich and that F Patrick Watling has been assigned to Orlando by the Marlies. Both players are expected to be in the lineup tonight at 7:00 p.m. against the Fort Wayne Komets.

Murovich (5-9, 174 lbs.) has appeared in 39 games with the Wheeling Nailers this season, scoring four goals and adding six assists for 10 points. He skated in 60 regular season games with the Solar Bears last season, posting 30 points on 18 goals and 12 assists. He also struck for one goal in six playoff contests. Murovich has played in 246 games with Wheeling, Orlando, Gwinnett, and Reading during his ECHL career, earning 56 goals and 74 assists for 130 points to go along with 292 PIM. Murovich has also skated in 50 games in the AHL, posting 14 points (7 goals, 7 assists) and 56 PIM.

Watling rejoins the Solar Bears from their AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, after picking up eight points (4 goals, 4 assists) in eight games with Orlando earlier this season. He had the game winning goal and added an assist to help Orlando defeat the Elmira Jackals by a 5-3 score on December 11, and in his last game with Orlando on December 28 he registered two points (1 goal, 1 assist). The rookie forward has appeared in 27 games for the Marlies this year, collecting two goals and one assist for three points.
