Stockton, Calif. "" On the back of their special teams, the Stockton Thunder defeat the Colorado Eagles Friday night at Stockton Arena by a score of 5-3. The Thunder power play was dominate for the second-straight game as it was successful three out of four attempts, while the penalty kill shouldered more than its fair share of the load, stopping Colorado's third-ranked power play to only one goal on seven attempts. Tyler Maxwell earned first star honors with his two-goal night and passed up the hat trick opportunity to assist on Tyler Shattock's empty netter and seal the victory for Stockton. The Thunder and the Eagles will faceoff once more Saturday night as the two teams will play for the second time in as many nights.
