Wheeling Nailers News Release
Wheeling, WV - Yes indeed...The weather outside is truly frightful. But the game is definitely ON for tonight.
The Wheeling Nailers, the AA affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins, have announced that they will play their scheduled matchup with the Kalamazoo Wings as scheduled tonight at 8:05pm at WesBanco Arena.
If your roads are good enough where you believe you can come to the game then please take extra care on these slick road conditions and certainly take all the necessary precautions to be as safe as possible.
The Kalamazoo Wings bus was able to arrive early this morning into Wheeling and are at the McClure hotel in downtown Wheeling and ready for the game tonight.
The Wheeling Nailers had mechanical difficulties with their bus which broke down in Pittsburgh after they had gotten most of the way back from last night's game at Elmira, NY. The Nailers are currently in the process of having their players shuttled a couple car-loads at a time from the bus on the highway in Pittsburgh back to Wheeling for the game tonight.
Tonight's game is Snow-Bird bobblehead night for the first 1000 kids in attendance courtesy of WTOV-9. The Wheeling Nailers could not have had better timing for that promotional give-away if they tried!
