DID YOU KNOW?
The 181 goals by the Elmira Jackals are tied for the ECHL with the South Carolina Stingrays, who have played seven more games than the Jackals entering play on Saturday. The Jackals lead the league at 4.02 goals per game.
INCREDIBLE GOAL
Rookie center Brendan Connolly scored one of the most dazzling goals in the ECHL this season in last night's win. Starting from behind his net, Connolly skated to the right-wing boards, darted across center around three Nailers, and then past two more as he ventured in on goaltender Michael-Lee Teslak. Connolly fired a shot past the netminder stick side, making it 3-0.
ONE FINAL EXTENDED TRIP
The Jackals begin a four-game road trip tonight, their final one of the regular season that lasts more than two contests. Elmira has won two straight road games and is 5-2-0-0 in its last seven games away from home.
STREAK LENGTHENED
Jackals captain Olivier Proulx assisted on Justin Donati's goal in the second period to give the Jackals a 4-0 lead, extending Proulx's scoring streak to nine games. Proulx has seven goals and eight assists during the streak.
