Kalamazoo Wings News Release

Game Preview

Despite being in the same division, tonight is just the fourth encounter between the Kalamazoo Wings and the Wheeling Nailers. Kalamazoo is 2-1-0-0 against Wheeling and won 6-5 in a shootout in only other appearance at the WesBanco Arena.

Earning a point in a shootout lost last night to Cincinnati proved to be big for Kalamazoo. The point gives the K-Wings 54 on the season and places them in a second place tie in the North Division with the Toledo Walleye.

After winning four straight, Wheeling has now suffered losses in back-to-back games. The Nailers are still playing great hockey earning victories in five out of their last eight contests. With 53 points, Wheeling is in fourth place, but only a point behind Kalamazoo and Toledo for second.

Killing Time Away From Home

Good on the Road

Kalamazoo's Mathieu Curadeau enters the night on a four-game overall point streak and a six-game road point streak. In fact, Curadeau is the K-Wings most consistent road performer, scoring in six of his seven games he has played this season away from Wings Stadium.

Five Alive
