
Stingrays Gameday: Van Buskirk Returns; Stingrays Wrap Up Northern Trip Against Johnstown Tonight

Johnstown, PA -The South Carolina Stingrays square off with the Johnstown Chiefs for the final time this season tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Cambria County War Memorial Arena. The Stingrays also announced today that goaltender Parker Van Buskirk has returned from the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.
Van Buskirk, 21, has appeared in five games for the Stingrays going 1-3-0-1 with a 4.42 goals-against average and a.865 save percentage. The Winsor, ONT native came to the Stingrays via trade with the Utah Grizzlies. Van Buskirk went 5-8-1 with a 3.39 GAA and a.881 save percentage while with the Grizzlies.
The Stingrays complete their seven-game road trip Wednesday, February 10 against the Charlotte Checkers at 7:05 p.m. at Time Warner Cable Arena. Note of the Night With a goal and an assist last night against the Chiefs, Stingrays forward Gregg Johnson has two goals and 10 assists in his last nine games.
Coming Through in the Clutch Forward Trent Campbell is on a two-game point streak (2g) and has four points (2g, 2a) in his last four games.
Little Chiefs The Stingrays are 2-1-0-0 against Johnstown this season and with the win last night, sent the Chiefs to team-record 13-game home winless streak.
