
Four Rox Players Named Northwoods League Postseason All-Stars

St. Cloud, MN- The Northwoods League announced on Saturday afternoon that four Rox players were named to the Postseason All-Star Team.
Jordan Barth (Augustana), Garett Delano (Brown), Trevor Koenig (St. Cloud State) and RJ Martinez (Minot State) all received the prestigious honor. Barth was selected as Rox MVP and Koenig as Pitcher of the Year for the team on Friday.
Barth, a sophomore from Augustana, has been one of the top hitters in the entire league. He has a batting average of .324 and has driven in 47 runs, which is sixth best amongst all hitters in the league. Barth broke the Rox single season records for doubles, runs, hits and extra-base hits. He competed in the Major League Dreams Showcase in early August.
Delano, who was a Northwoods League All-Star in July, has been the primary clean-up hitter for the Rox all season. The junior has a batting average of .305 and has 49 RBIs, a team-high. It's also fifth best in the league. He is two RBIs off from tying the Rox single season record for runs driven in. Delano competed in the Major League Dreams Showcase in early August.
Koenig, who was a Northwoods League All-Star in July, has been one of the Rox aces on the mound since the beginning of the season. The sophomore is 7-1 and has an ERA of 1.35, which is third best amongst pitchers in the league. Koenig's seven wins are tied for the most in a single season in Rox history.
Martinez, who was a Northwoods League All-Star in July, has been one of Rox aces in the rotation since he started the season opener in Rochester on May 28. The Minot State product is tied for the most strikeouts on the team with 51. He is 6-1 on the season and has a 3.90 ERA. To begin the season, Martinez won five of his first six starts.
