Florida hits the road for three straight games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday

The Florida Everblades picked up 4 out of a possible 6 points this past week after they defeated the Roanoke Express in a pair of games 4-2 and 6-2 and fell to the Pensacola Ice Pilots 3-1 at TECO Arena. Florida forward Brian McCullough is tied atop the ECHL in scoring with 54 points and is currently ranked tied for first in the ECHL in goal scoring with 25 goals. McCullough will represent the Everblades as a starter in the Par-A-Dice ECHL All-Star game in Peoria, IL on Tuesday night. Following the Blades 6-2 win on Saturday night defenseman Ed Hill and forward Damian Surma were recalled to Lowell (AHL). Florida expects forwards Keith Anderson and Chris Heisten to return to the lineup during the Blades upcoming road trip. Everblades regular season games can be heard on Sportsradio 770 AM and on the Internet at www.floridaeverblades.com, www.ABC-7.com and www.NBC-2.com with the "Voice of the Everblades" Dan Guenther calling the play-by-play. The games can be also be heard inside TECO arena on 96.5 FM. 'The Gerry Fleming Coaches Show' presented by Stevie Tomato's Sportspage on Sportsradio 770 AM airs from 6:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday nights. The show will be live on remote at the Naples location tonight.

UPCOMING EVENTS/PROMOTIONS AT TECO ARENA: Alan Jackson plays a sold out TECO Arena on Friday, January 23rd. The Everblades take on the Pensacola Ice Pilots at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, January 27th at TECO Arena. GAME NOTES: This will be the fourth meeting between the two clubs this season. The Everblades are 1-2-0 versus the Ice Pilots this season. Pensacola ranks in 5th place in the Central Division. Florida was 4-1-1 versus them last season.

GAME NOTES: This will be the third meeting between the two clubs this season. The Everblades downed the Ice Gators in a pair of games at TECO Arena back on October 24th and 25th.

LAST WEEK'S RESULTS

Tuesday, January 13th vs. Pensacola 1-3 L

The Florida Everblades (20-12-7) were defeated by the Pensacola Ice Pilots (19-12-5) 3-1 in front of 5,112 at TECO Arena Tuesday nights. The loss marked the first time all year the Everblades dropped two straight games in regulation at home.

Friday, January 16th vs. Roanoke 4-2 W

The Florida Everblades (21-12-7) defeated the Roanoke Express (20-16-2) 4-2 in front of 6,083 at TECO Arena on Friday night.

Saturday, January 17th @ Florence 6-2 W

The Florida Everblades (22-12-7) crushed the Roanoke Express (20-17-2) 6-2 in front of a TECO Arena record setting crowd of 7,386 on Saturday night.

ECHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION: The Everblades ECHL goaltender of the week nomination is Jeff Maund The Mississauga, Ontario native registered two wins this past week and posted a 2.00 GAA and a .933 save percentage.
