LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 1-1-1 OVERALL RECORD: 11-22-4, 26 pts.

Jan. 13 vs. Texas, 4-3 Overtime Loss – Fresno's Boris Protsenko, Scott Borders and John Wroblewski all scored to help the Falcons into overtime, but the Texas Wildcatters' Aaron MacInnis ended the contest :33 seconds into the extra session to give the visitors a 4-3 overtime win.

Jan. 16 vs. San Diego, 4-2 Win – The Falcons overcame two one-goal deficits to defeat the San Diego Gulls for the first time this season, 4-2, behind Kevin Truelson's game-winning power play goal and goaltender Dave Marlin's 27 saves.

Jan. 17 vs. Idaho, 7-2 Loss – Fresno could not take advantage of the second largest crowd in team history (11,224) as the first-place Idaho Steelheads used five goals from defensemen, including three by captain Jeremy Mylymok, to cruise past the Falcons, 7-2.

THIS WEEK'S UPCOMING GAMES

Friday, Jan. 23 vs. Bakersfield, 7 p.m. – The Falcons host the Condors, the team they trail most closely in the standings, in their first game following the All-Star Break. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a Falcons baseball cap courtesy of Eye Q Vision Center.

Saturday, Jan. 24 @ Long Beach, 7 p.m. – Fresno travels to Long Beach to face the Ice Dogs, with whom they are tied in sixth place in the Pacific Division entering the All-Star Break. The club will be looking to snap an 11-game road losing streak.

Sunday, Jan. 24 vs. Las Vegas, 5 p.m. – The Falcons return home for their third game of the weekend as they host the Las Vegas Wranglers. It is the first time in 2 ½ months that the club has faced a three games in three days scenario. NOTES

· With the departure of Greg Bullock, Kris Porter leads the club with 30 points (10g-20a), followed by Brad Mehalko (9g-14a-23pts) and Jason Weaver (10g-11a-21pts).

· Falcons AHL Watch: Goaltender Nolan Schaefer played two games this past weekend with the Cleveland Barons, losing his first of the year on Friday at Rochester before bouncing back with a 3-2 victory over the Syracuse Crunch on Saturday. He is now 4-1-1 with a 2.65 goals against average and .918 save percentage with the Barons. Forward Boris Protsenko became the second Falcon to skate at the next level this year when he was loaned to the Houston Aeros last week. He went pointless in two games for the Aeros over the weekend.

· The Falcons' victory over San Diego was just their fifth against a team with a winning record this season.

· Fresno is 17th (16.3%) on the power play this season and 20th (82.7%) on the penalty kill. They are second in the league in penalty minutes, averaging 29.7 per game.

· The Falcons enter the All-Star Break in a tie for last place with the Long Beach Ice Dogs in the Pacific Division. They have 35 games after the break to try to make up the 21 points necessary to attain the division's fourth and final playoff position.

THIS WEEK'S PRACTICE TIMES

The Falcons will take this week off from practice due to the All-Star Break. They return to the ice on Friday at 10 a.m. at Save Mart Center for their pre-game skate in advance of that evening's tilt against the Condors.
