Fans Can Name Griffins' New Team Member

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - How would you like to name the newest member of the Grand Rapids Griffins' family? He rode into Van Andel Arena on a comet on New Year's Eve and is teaming up with Griff to make kids smile and crowds roar for their Griffins. Now, you can join the fun by helping us name the "new guy."
From now until Jan. 19, Griffins fans have the opportunity to name our newest mascot by visiting griffinshockey.com and clicking on the "Name Our New Team Member" link along the left side of the home page.
The lucky person with the winning suggestion will win a family four pack of tickets to an upcoming home game, complete with a VIP behind-the-scenes tour, and an opportunity be on the ice during intermission to formally introduce him by name to the Griffins' faithful.
