Parenteau heads to Hartford

New York, January 9, 2008 -- New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that forward P.A. Parenteau has been reassigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Parenteau, 24, returns to Hartford (AHL) having skated in 34 AHL games this season, registering 14 goals and 21 assists for 35 points, along with 35 penalty minutes and a plus-three rating. The 5-11, 195-pound forward leads the Wolf Pack in assists (21) and points (35), and is tied for second in goals (14). His 35 points are also tied for 14th in the league. Parenteau did not dress in one game with the Rangers this season.

The Blueshirts return to action tomorrow, January 10, when they will face-off against the Philadelphia Flyers at Madison Square Garden (7:00 PM). Prior to the game, the team's morning skate is scheduled for 11:00 AM at the MSG Training Center.
