ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...
Tonight, the SeaWolves look for back-to-back wins for the first time since June 19-20 as they take the field in the second game of a four game series against the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles) at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the 'Wolves won an extra innings thriller 8-7, snapping a 12-game home losing streak and a five-game slide to the Baysox. The win was Erie's first in eight extra innings games and it was the second come from behind win for the 'Wolves when trailing into the ninth...Lefty Charlie Furbush takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his third Double-A start and his first against the Baysox. He took back-to-back no-decisions in his first two starts against Richmond, going seven innings in both appearances. In his last start he allowed a run on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts. Both of Furbush's starts have resulted in extra innings losses for the SeaWolves...Righty Ryohei Tanaka takes the mound for Bowie. Tanaka is making 17th appearance and 16th start. Tonight will be his third appearance against the SeaWolves. Tanaka is 1-1 against the 'Wolves. He took a loss in his last start against Akron allowing five runs on eight hits in six innings of work.

The SeaWolves and Baysox meet 23 times in 2010.- Defensively, the 'Wolves have committed 98 errors on the season which is the most in the league. - The SeaWolves are sixth in the league with a 4.23 team ERA.
