Tonight, the SeaWolves begin their final road trip of the 2010 season as they take on the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates) in the opener of a three-game series at Blair County Ballpark. The SeaWolves are coming off of a doubleheader split on Sunday against Reading. The split earned the SeaWolves their fifth consecutive series win.Erie and Altoona are the two hottest teams in the Eastern League heading into play on Monday. Altoona has won eight of its last 10 while the SeaWolves have won seven of 10. Since July 29. the SeaWolves are 16-6...After a strong start to the season series against the Curve, winning seven of the first 10 games, Erie has gone on to lose six of the last seven meetings between the two clubs...Erie sends Righty Brooks Brown to the hill making his 27th appearance and 17th start of the season. Brown was roughed up in his last start at Harrisburg, allowing seven runs on 10 hits in 4.1 innings of work. Erie lost the game 10-1...Lefty Jeff Locke takes the mound for the Curve. Locke makes his eighth start with Altoona and his second against the SeaWolves. Locke allowed two runs on six hits with two walks and five strikeouts in six innings in a no-decision against the 'Wolves on July 26. He earned a win in his last start against Portland tossing seven shutout innings with a walk and eight strikeouts.
