January 4, 2006 - ECHL (ECHL)
Utah Grizzlies News Release
West Valley City, Utah - The ECHL announced today that Utah Grizzlies forward Ryan Kinasewich has been named the League's In Glas Co Player of the Week for the week ending January 1st.
Last week, with the Grizzlies winning three of five, the 22-year-old scored 13 points (five goals, eight assists.) He also notched his second professional hat trick December 30 at Las Vegas as Utah snapped the Wranglers' 12-game winning streak.
In addition, four of his goals came on the power-play, and he also collected the game-winning tally December 27th versus Idaho, finishing the game with one goal and three assists.
Since joining the Grizzlies on November 18, Kinasewich has had multi-point nights in 10 of 21 games played, and has also set a Utah season-high with an eight-game point streak (12/27/05-present- eight goals, 10 assists.) In Saturday's 5-3 win over the Wranglers, the Alberta native tied a then ECHL season-high with 11 shots on goal.
On behalf of Ryan Kinasewich, a case of pucks will be donated to a Utah area youth hockey organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive puck supplier for the ECHL.
In Glas Co has donated over 13,500 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities since it began sponsoring the award in 2000-01. In Glas Co also donated all of the limited-edition pucks that were used during opening weekend and auctioned off for hurricane relief.
The Grizzlies return to the E-Center Wednesday, January 11 to host Long Beach. Utah is next in action Friday night in Stockton, opening a set of three-games-in-three-nights this weekend in California.
