* Inferno is 2-0-1 against the Checkers with each game decided by one goal in 2005-06.
* Michael Bayrack had three points (2g-1a) in Charlotte's 5-3 win at South Carolina on Tuesday.
* Chris Houle has a goals against of 1.92 and a save percentage of .944 against Charlotte.
* Checkers rank fourth in the league in home power-play percentage with 25.4 percent.

Alaska Aces (21-4-3) at San Diego Gulls (13-11-4) 7:05 p.m. PT
* Aces are 2-1-0 against the Gulls in 2005-06 and two of the three games have been decided by one goal.
* Gulls are unbeaten in regulation (10-0-1) when leading after the second period.
* Alaska leads the league in fewest goals-allowed with 2.11 per game.
* 2006 All-Star Jesse Bennefield has 16 points (9g-7a) in his last 10 games for the Gulls.
