RoadRunners' Pecker Inks Contract With Binghamton
January 4, 2006 - ECHL (ECHL)
Phoenix RoadRunners News Release
Phoenix, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL have announced that forward Cory Pecker has signed a standard American Hockey League contract with the Binghamton Senators. The contract will enable Pecker to remain with Binghamton for the remainder of the 2005-06 season.
Pecker, 24, has tallied six goals and 13 points in 10 games with the Senators since being loaned to Binghamton back on December 15. After being held without a point in his first two games, Pecker tied his AHL career high by recording at least one point in four straight games. The fourth-year professional and Montreal, Quebec native had recorded 11 goals and 23 points in just 18 games with the RoadRunners at the time of his promotion.
Pecker was named runner-up for ECHL Player of the Month honors in October after finishing with five goals and 11 points in the first five games of the regular season. He opened the season with a career-best 11-game scoring streak, including a stretch where he recorded multiple points in six consecutive games.
The RoadRunners host another "Thirsty Thursday" presented by Alice Cooper'stown at 7:11PM tomorrow when Phoenix welcomes the Alaska Aces to America West Arena. Head to Cooper'stown located behind the arena after the RoadRunners fly past the Aces and enjoy pints of Bud and Bud Light for just $3, the "Best Damn Margarita" for only $4 and other great drink specials throughout the night.
