
Grizzlies' Kinasewich Named In Glas Co ECHL Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Utah Grizzlies left wing Ryan Kinasewich is the In
Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for Dec. 26, 2005-Jan. 1, 2006.
Scoring in all five of Utah's games last week, the 22-year-old Kinasewich
had 13 points (5g-8a) while helping the Grizzlies go 3-2-0 to improve to
19-11-2 and move into a tie for third place with Idaho at 40 points.
After beginning the week with six points in two games against Idaho,
including four points (1g-3a) in a 6-5 win on Dec. 27, the 6-foot-2 and
202-pounder scored his second hat trick of the season with three power-play
goals in a 6-5 overtime win at Las Vegas on Dec. 30, ending Las Vegas ECHL
season-high and team record 12-game winning streak. The following night at
home against the Wranglers, Kinasewich had three points (1g-2a) as Utah
ended Las Vegas ECHL record-tying 10-game road winning streak.
Kinasewich ranks second on the team with 13 goals and 31 points in 21 games
and he led the Grizzlies in December with 24 points (10g-14a) in 13 games.
He has a nine-game scoring streak in which he is averaging over two points
per game (8g-11a).
In 2004-05 as a rookie, Kinasewich played for the Reading Royals and had 38
points (16g-22a) in 43 regular season games and six points (1g-5a) in five
Kelly Cup Playoff games. He also spent time with Manchester of the American
Hockey League where he had eight points (2g-6a) in 26 games.
A native of St. Albert, Alberta, Kinasewich played six years in the Western
Hockey League with Medicine Hat from 1998-2001 and Tri-City from 2001-04,
scoring 252 points (106g-146a) in 298 games.
On behalf of Ryan Kinasewich, a case of pucks will be donated to a Utah
area youth hockey organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive puck
supplier for the ECHL.
In Glas Co has donated over 13,500 pucks to youth hockey
organizations in ECHL cities since it began sponsoring the award in
2000-01. In Glas Co also donated all of the limited-edition pucks
that were used during the opening weekend and auctioned off for hurricane
relief.
