Dodgers and Sounds Suspended Friday
Series finale suspended in fourth inning due to rain in OKC
Oklahoma City - The series finale between the Oklahoma City Dodgers and Nashville Sounds was suspended after the top of the fourth inning due to rain with the Dodgers in a 4-0 lead at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
The teams will resume the game when the Sounds return to Oklahoma City Aug. 19-22.
The game will resume with the Dodgers coming up to bat in the bottom of the fourth inning. Once that game has been completed, the teams will play a regularly scheduled seven-inning game thereafter.
Fans with tickets to Friday night's suspended game will be able to redeem their ticket for one of equal or lesser value to any remaining game of the Dodgers' 2019 season, based upon availability.
Fans must redeem their tickets from Friday's postponed game in person at the Dodgers ticket office at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The ticket office is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Saturday game days, the ticket office opens at 10 a.m. and will be open until the end of the game. On Sunday game days, the ticket office opens two hours prior to the game and will remain open until the end of the game.
Nashville entered Friday's game with a 2-1 lead in the series.
The Dodgers broke open the game in the third inning, scoring four runs on five hits.
With one out in the third inning and two runners on, Matt Beaty connected on a one-out RBI single before Kyle Garlick doubled to the wall in center field to bring home two more runs. The Dodgers' lead grew to 4-0 on a RBI single by Edwin RÃ-os.
The Dodgers open a four-game road series against the Round Rock Express at 7:05 p.m. Friday at Dell Diamond.
