Wednesday, December 10-Johnstown 2 at Cincinnati 6

The Clones thumped the Northern division leading Johnstown Chiefs 6-2 on Wednesday at U.S. Bank Arena. Two old favorites got the ball rolling for the Clones before two newcomers put the icing on the cake. Terry Marchant opened the scoring with his fifth goal of the season just 1:21 into the contest. Jeremy Bachusz, on his first shift back from the 30-day injured reserve, assisted on Marchant's goal. With less than five minutes gone in the first, Bachusz would strike again. Bachusz scored his first pro goal at the 4:54 mark of the first to open up a 2-0 lead vs. the Chiefs. After a J-Town goal with just eight seconds left in the first, the Clones took control with three second period goals. In his Clones debut, Jade Galbraith scored at the 7:38 mark to extend the Clones lead to 3-1. Tyler Deis would add two more in the second to give him four goals in his first four games as a Clone. Galbraith would add his second marker on the night to give the Clones a season-high six goals.

Friday, December 12-Cincinnati 1 at Atlantic City 2

A shorthanded Clones team gave a gritty effort before falling one goal short to the defending Kelly Cup Champions. Injuries to Tyler Deis and Scott Cameron, plus a list of four players on the injured reserve, left just 13 Clones skaters to start the game. After falling behind 1-0, Jason Norrie scored for the Clones with 53 seconds left in the first period. Jeremy Bachusz sprung Norrie on a breakaway with a pass through the neutral zone. Norrie beat Atlantic City's Scott Stirling one-on-one for his sixth goal of the season. A.C. would retake the lead on Jon Cullen's goal with 1:24 gone in the second. The Bullies would hold the 2-1 lead throughout the game's final two periods.

Bachusz sustained an injury in the second, forcing the Clones to finish the game with just 12 skaters (seven forwards and five defensemen). This Week

Wednesday, December 17 & Sunday, December 21-Dayton at Cincinnati

The Clones renew their rivalry with the Bombers this week at U.S. Bank Arena. The Clones hold a 3-2-0 advantage in the season series. The last time the teams met, the Bombers beat the Clones 3-2 on November 29th in Cincinnati. The rivalry should grow more heated as a result of the recent trade (Galbraith to Cincinnati for Fraser Clair) between the teams.

Friday, December 19-Cincinnati at Reading

The Clones face-off with the Royals for the first time this season on Friday at the Sovereign Center in Reading. The Royals are currently second in the North with a 15-7-3 record.

Saturday, December 20-Cincinnati at Roanoke

The Clones look to avenge a 3-2 loss to the Express on Saturday in Roanoke. The Express scored three third period goals at U.S. Bank Arena on October 24th to win the teams' only previous meeting. On the season, the Express are tied for second in the Southern Division with a 15-9-1 record.

Clones to Watch

-Jeremy Bachusz recorded a goal and two assists in his first two games back off the injured reserve.
