The Johnstown Chiefs (15-7-2; 32 PTS; T-2nd Northern div.) slipped in the ECHL standings as they went 1-2-0 last week. The Chiefs had a road loss at Cincinnati on Wednesday and split a weekend set at Peoria. This week the Chiefs will play a pair of road games at Dayton. The Chiefs have fallen into a tie with Atlantic City for second place in the Northern division. Atlantic City and Johnstown trail first place Wheeling and Reading by a point.

GAME #22 (12/10/03) CINCINNATI 6 – Johnstown 2 Levesque Goal

Wednesday night, the Johnstown Chiefs suffered a 6-2 loss at Cincinnati. The Chiefs received goals from Willie Levesque and Dominic Forget. Goaltender David Currie suffered the loss making 36 saves. The Cyclones got a pair of goals from Tyler Deis and Jade Galbraith. Randy Petruk got the win for the Cyclones making 40 saves.

GAME #23 (12/12/03) PEORIA 5 – Johnstown 2 Bilodeau PPG

The Johnstown Chiefs suffered their second straight loss Friday night at the hands of the Peoria Rivermen. The Chiefs got a power play goal by Brent Bilodeau, while Willie Levesque scored for the second straight game. Chiefs goaltender Cory Campbell suffered the loss making 14 saves.

GAME #24 (12/13/03) Johnstown 2 – PEORIA 0 Campbell 40 Saves

The Johnstown Chiefs snapped their two game losing streak with a 2-0 win over the Peoria Rivermen, Saturday night at the Peoria Civic Center. After a scoreless first period the Chiefs opened the scoring 14:46 into the second stanza as Steve Hildenbrand scored his eighth goal of the season. Chad Cavanagh gave the Chiefs a 2-0 lead in the third period with an insurance goal at 12:12. The goal was Cavanagh's first tally since October 18th vs. Long Beach (22 games). Chiefs goaltender Cory Campbell picked up his sixth win and second shutout of the season making 40 saves. Rivermen goaltender Mike Valley made 20 saves.

This weekend the Chiefs will head to Dayton for a pair of games against the Bombers (8-12-2, 18 PTS; 9th Northern div.). The Chiefs are 2-1-0 against the Bombers this season and 41-43-8 all-time. Dayton is currently in last place in the Northern division. The Bombers are 5-4-1 in their last ten games.

CHIEFS NOTES:

 Dominic Forget's eleven game scoring streak came to an end Friday, in the Chiefs 5-2 loss at Peoria. Forget was given a game misconduct in the second period of that contest.

 The Chiefs penalty kill is an ECHL best 92.2% (106 for 115).

 Saturday, Brent Bilodeau played in his 300th regular season game with the Chiefs.

 The Chiefs are 13-0-1 when leading after two periods.

 Jeff Sullivan's 935 PIM is just 32 PIM shy of breaking Rick Boyd's (966 PIM) franchise record for career PIM.
