This is the third game of the season between these two teams. Both teams have one win in the series. No home team has managed a win. The Stingrays have won five straight, while the Checkers have won six in a row.
At the Coliseum: Two for Tuesday: Two dollar beers, two for one upper level tickets, two for one hot dogs and cokes.
Friday, December 19, @ Augusta â 7:05 @ Augusta Civic Center

This is the second meeting of the season between these two teams. The Rays lost the first game in Augusta 4-3 on October 23. Augusta has a record of 9-7-2.

This is the third game of the season between these two teams. All three games have taken place in Greensboro. The Rays have a record of 1-0-1 against the Generals this season. Greensboro is in second place in the Southern Division with a record of 14-7-0.

Friday, December 12, Stingrays 5 Vs Gwinnett 1
Jeff Boulanger had two goals including the game winner and Kirk Daubenspeck made 41 saves for his third straight win as the Rays won their fourth straight and their third straight at home.
Saturday, December 13, Stingrays 4 @ Greenville 2
Mike Jickling helped the Stingrays run their season long winning streak to five with two goals. The Rays trailed 2-0 but rallied with four unanswered goals for the win.
Stingrays to Visit MUSC Children's Hospital Today 2:00-4:00
David Seitz, Kirk Daubenspeck, Andy Powers, Mike Jickling, Chris Allen, Robin Gomez and Curtis Huppe will all visit patients at the MUSC Children's Hospital today from 2-4. The players will play with the patients in the Children's Hospital Atrium and deliver gifts provided by the Stingrays Booster Club. The Rays visit the Children's Hospital every December.
The Team:
South Carolina is still in fifth place in the Southern Division despite winning five straight to push its record to 13-9-1. The Stingrays now have a record of 7-6-0 at home and 6-3-1 on the road. The Stingrays winning streak is the longest of the season for the team and currently the second longest in the ECHL. The Stingrays have a record of 7-5-1 in the Southern Division and 6-4-0 outside the division. The team's power play continues to improve and is now ranked 20th in the ECHL at 13.8. On the penalty kill the Rays are now ranked 18th at 83.3. The Stingrays have the ninth ranked defense in the league allowing an average of 2.81 goals against per game. Offensively the team scores an average of 2.87 goals per game, which ranks 17th in the league.
The Players:
Mike Jickling and Ed Courtenay lead the Stingrays in scoring with 18 points each. Jickling has seven goals to lead the team, while four players, including Courtenay have six goals on the season. The Stingrays goaltenders have been tremendous this season. Kirk Daubenspeck has a record of 8-5-1 with a goals against average of 2.56 and a save percentage of .922. He has won his last three starts. David Brumby has a record of 5-4-0 with a goals against average of 2.22 and a save percentage of .939. Aaron Power leads the Stingrays in points on the power play with 8.Robin Gomez has nine points in his last ten games on three goals and six assists. Jeff Boulanger has three goals in his last two games.
