Blades Remain in First Place after 1-2-1 Week

The Florida Everblades picked up three points this past weekend and remained atop the ECHL's Southern Division. Florida currently holds the second best record in the ECHL and the best record in the Eastern Conference (15-6-5 35 pts.) and is 9-1-3 at home this season. Forward Brian McCullough continues to rank first in the ECHL in scoring with 38 points and first in goal scoring with 17. The Blades take on the Florence Pride at 7:30 PM this Friday and Saturday night at TECO Arena. Everblades regular season games can be heard on Sportsradio 770 AM and on the Internet at www.floridaeverblades.com, www.ABC-7.com and www.NBC-2.com with the "Voice of the Everblades" Dan Guenther calling the play-by-play. The games can be also be heard inside TECO arena on 96.5 FM. 'The Gerry Fleming Coaches Show' presented by Stevie Tomato's Sportspage on Sportsradio 770 AM airs from 6:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday nights. Tonight's show will be at the Naples location on Shirley Street.

UPCOMING EVENTS/PROMOTIONS AT TECO ARENA: The Everblades take on the Florence Pride on Friday and Saturday December 19th & 20th at 7:30 PM. The Everblades College Hockey Classic returns to TECO Arena on Saturday and Sunday December 27th and 28th. Returning champion Maine along with Cornell, Notre Dame and Ohio State will participate in this year's tournament. GAME NOTES: This will be the fifth meeting between the two clubs this season. The Everblades are 3-0-1 versus the Pride this season. Florence currently ranks in 7th place in the Southern Division. Florida was 4-3-1 versus Florence last season.

Saturday, December 20th vs. Florence 7:30 PM/EST

GAME NOTES: This will be the sixth meeting between the two clubs this season and second game of the two game series.

LAST WEEK'S RESULTS

Tuesday, December 9th vs. Mississippi 2-3 L

The Florida Everblades (14-5-4) dropped their first home game of the year in regulation 3-2 to the Mississippi Sea Wolves (12-8-4) Tuesday night in front of 4,888 at TECO arena. Mississippi forward Brent Gauvreau had 2 goals and one assist.

Friday, December 12th vs. Columbia 5-3 W

The Florida Everblades (15-5-4) and the Columbia Inferno (13-6-2) opened their two game series with a spirited effort as the Everblades prevailed 5-3 over the Inferno in front of 5,418 at TECO arena. Both teams erupted for a combined five goals in the second period.

Saturday, December 13th vs. Columbia 3-4 OTL

The Florida Everblades (15-5-5) and the Columbia Inferno (14-6-2) wrapped up their two game series as the Inferno prevailed 4-3 in overtime against the Everblades in front of 6,324 at TECO arena. Chris St. Croix's shot from the point on the power play found it's way behind Florida goalie Jeff Maund at the 2:43 mark of the extra period.

Sunday, December 14th @ Columbus 0-2 L
