Tonight's Matchup: For the final time this season, the Cyclones will lock up with the Kalamazoo Wings in their ninth get-together of 2014-15. The Wings have taken five of the eight meetings thus far, including the last four. However, the Cyclones are 20-11-4-1 all-time against their Mitten State foes in Downtown Cincinnati.

Scouting the Wings: Nick Bootland's club has surged to fourth place in the North Division with wins in eight out of its last ten games and sit just one point back of the 'Clones coming into the night. Although rookie Curtis Valk has cooled off a bit lately, he's still atop the Wings' scoring leaderboard with 30 points (11g, 19a) in 31 games. Former Cyclone Eric Kattelus, meanwhile, has contributed 29 tallies (5g, 24a) in 27 contests to rank second on the team. Veteran netminder Joel Martin has led the way for Kalamazoo between the pipes, amassing a 14-9-1-1 record with a 2.65 goals-against average. Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Scott Munroe has been nearly perfect for the Wings this season, going 5-0-0-1 with a 2.53 GAA.
Last Time Out: The Royals came up with five unanswered goals to defeat the Cyclones by a 5-1 final score in front of 8,312 at U.S. Bank Arena on Saturday night. Rookie Frederick Gaudreau tallied the lone goal for Cincinnati.
Second Period Shutdown: As the season rolls along, Cincinnati continues to stifle teams in the middle stanza. The Cyclones are allowing an ECHL-low 27 goals in the 2nd period.
Slamming the Door: When the 'Clones carry a lead into the final period, they have been nearly impossible to beat this season. In such situations, they are 15-3-0-1, amounting to an 89.5% winning percentage.
