TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: After enjoying a Thanksgiving off-day, the Cyclones are back to action tonight to kick off a three-game, three-city road trip beginning with a stop against the Reading Royals. The Clones blanked the defending Kelly Cup champs by a 3-0 final score last weekend, improving their all time record against the Royals to 32-19-5-4.

SCOUTING THE NAILERS: Larry Courville's club has been red hot of late, going 8-2 in their last 10 games and out-scoring opponents 32-21 in that stretch. They've also strung together four consecutive home wins. Louis Caporusso is the active leader in scoring for Reading, notching 16 points (3g, 13a) in 14 games this season. Dominic Monardo and Dustin Gazley have also been off to a great start, earning 12 points apiece. Last year's Kelly Cup Playoffs MVP Riley Gill has led the way for the Royals between the pipes, going 6-3-0 with a 2.20 goals-against average. Brandon Anderson has also been solid in net with a 4-2-0 record and an ECHL seventh-best 1.99 GAA.

About Wednesday Night vs. Wheeling: Redirected shots and special teams play proved to be the difference as the Cyclones fell to the Nailers by a 3-0 final score in front of 4,279 at U.S. Bank Arena. The home team had no problem firing the puck as they out-shot their Atlantic Division foe 38-23 in the tilt. But the bounces didn't go the Cyclones' way and the visitors successfully killed six penalties, giving them their second straight victory in Cincinnati and a 2-1 series lead on the season.

Barry's Burying: Cyclones forward Barry Almeida is on a tear of late. He leads the team in game-winning goals (3 including shootout winners) and has posted six points (4g, 2a) in his last five games. The Clones are 4-1-0 when he lights the lamp.

Offense from Defense: Cincinnati rear guard Taylor Aronson has shot up the ECHL's leaderboard for points by a defenseman. He has tallies in three of his last six games and now ranks tied for sixth among all league blue-liners.
