One of the best rivalries in all of minor league hockey will be rekindled tonight, as the Kalamazoo Wings host the Fort Wayne Komets at Wings Stadium. This evening will be the 377th all-time meeting between the teams. Kalamazoo is 164-167-54 all-time versus Fort Wayne.
Coming off their worse defeat of the season, a three-goal loss to the Florida Everblades on Wednesday, the K-Wings will try to snap a two-game losing streak. Tonight is the middle-leg of a three-game home stand for the K-Wings, who are 4-3-0-1 at Wings Stadium this season.
Fort Wayne travels to Kalamazoo for a brief one-game road swing. So far this season Fort Wayne has played their best hockey away from the Allen County Memorial Coliseum. The Komets, who are 2-3-1-2 at home, own a road record of 4-3-0-0.
