LOVELAND, Colo. - Jonathan Parker's goal with 4:32 left in regulation snapped a 1-1 tie and allowed the Colorado Eagles to squeak by the Alaska Aces, 2-1, before a sellout crowd of 5,289 at Budweiser Events Center on Friday.

The Aces, who dropped the first two games of their eight game road trip, led until the late portion of the second period and were buoyed by Olivier Roy in net, who made 32 saves in spite of the defeat. Marc Cheverie withstood a late flurry by the Aces and took the win on 21 saves.

Nick Mazzolini converted off a jam play at the front of the net with 2.2 seconds left in the first period, off a feed by Evan Trupp for a 1-0 Aces lead after one period.

Roy stopped 13 shots in the second but was victimized by Kyle Ostrow's sharp angled shot from the bottom of the right circle and Colorado tied the game, 1-1 with 2:59 left in the second period.

The Aces had three power plays to open the third period but came up empty, setting up Parker's feat late in regulation. Parker took a long threaded pass by Daniel Johnston off the rush and beat Roy's glove from the left circle, for the eventual winner for a 2-1 edge.
