Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Minnesota Wild and Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Iowa Wild and Toronto Marlies, announced today that G John Curry has been reassigned to the Orlando Solar Bears.

Curry has played in seven games for the Solar Bears this season, earning a 6-1-0 record with a 2.52 GAA and .920 save percentage. He was named the ECHL [image: John Curry] Goaltender of the Week for November 4-10 when he posted a 2-0-0 record, 2.00 GAA, and .943 save percentage. In his Solar Bears career, Curry has compiled a 23-12-2 record with a 2.75 GAA and .912 save percentage. He played in one game for Iowa, stopping 17 of 19 shots in a 2-1 loss to Abbotsford on November 24.

The native of Shorewood, MN, has played 179 games in the American Hockey League, earning a 2.47 GAA and .908 save percentage to go along with a 103-60-7 record. In 2010-11 as a member of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Curry played in the AHL All-Star Game and won the "Harry Holmes" trophy for best goaltending duo in the league. He has played four games in the NHL, collecting a 2-2-0 record.
