Cyclones End Season With 4-2 Loss at Dayton

The Cyclones finished their 2003-04 campaign with a 4-2 loss to the Dayton Bombers on Saturday at the Nutter Center in Dayton. The Cyclones fell behind 3-0 in the first and never recovered.

Brian Ridolfi, Scott Cameron and Sean Connelly scored in the first for the Bombers to stake Dayton to a 3-0 lead.

After a scoreless second, Phil Lewandowski scored 2:55 into the third to end Andrew Penner's shutout. After a Cyclones power play, Dayton's Matt Herneisen hopped out of the penalty box and streaked in on Tyler Masters to salt the game away with his fifth goal of the season. With the Bombers leading 4-1, Tyler Kindle scored his 13th of the season with seven second left in the game to end the scoring at 4-2.

With the loss the Cyclones end the season at 25-43-4. The team also established an ECHL record for fewest goals scored in a season (175).
