
Everblades clinch sixth straight playoff berth

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades earned a weekend sweep over the Augusta Lynx after a 4-2 win on Saturday night at TECO Arena in front of a crowd of 7,479 to qualify for the 2004 Kelly Cup playoffs for the sixth straight season. The Blades have not missed the playoffs in their six year existence. The Everblades will travel to Roanoke, Virginia to take on the Roanoke Express in Game #1of the best of five Southern Division semi-final series on Tuesday, April 6th at 7:05 PM. The Blades then will take on Roanoke in Game #2 of the series on Thursday night at 7:05 PM in Roanoke. Florida will then return home for Game #3 at TECO Arena on Friday, April 9th at 7:30 PM. If necessary, Florida will remain home for Game #4 on Monday, April 12th at 7:30 PM and travel to Roanoke for Game # 5 on Thursday, April 15th at 7:05 PM.
Florida earned the #3 seed after South Carolina fell to the Greensboro Generals 4-2 on Saturday night. The Everblades and Express each finished the regular season with 84 pojnts. The Express won the tie breaker and claimed the #2 seed after they earned more wins during the regular season.
