
Evangelista Comes Off Injured Reserve

BILOXI, Miss. â Mississippi Sea Wolves coach and director of hockey operations Bob Woods announced today that center John Evangelista (ih-vahn-jehl-LIHST-ah) has been activated off the 7-day injured reserve.
Evangelista, 28, missed eight games after being placed on injured reserve on March 19. A native of St. Catharines, Ontario, Evangelista has appeared in 57 games with Mississippi this season, tallying three goals, 20 points, an even rating and 46 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-9 and 185-pound Evangelista is in his sixth professional season and fifth year with the Sea Wolves.
Evangelista will be in Mississippi's lineup at 7:35 p.m. tonight, on the final day of the 2003-04 regular season, against the Louisiana IceGators at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. The Sea Wolves will be wearing special Southern Miss jerseys, which will be auctioned postgame to benefit the Southern Miss Alumni Scholarship Fund.
