DULUTH, GA - The Pee Dee Pride ended their season with a 4-1 loss to the Gwinnett Gladiators Saturday at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. With the loss, the Pride finish the season with a record of 30-33-9.

The Gladiators scored the first goal of the night at 8:56 of the first period. Chris Durno carried the puck into the Pride zone and fired a quick shot. Sebastien Laplante made the initial save, but the puck trickled past the Pride goaltender and into the net for Durno's 20th goal of the season.

Pee Dee tied the game with 3:36 remaining in the first period. The Pride capitalized on a good bounce in the Gladiators' end as Jeff Szwez' shot eluded goaltender Trevor Prior for his 23rd of the season, and his fifth in the last three games.

Gwinnett went back on top at 11:57 of the second period. Durno's shot from the high slot was stopped by Laplante, but the rebound came free to Paul Flache who put it home for his third goal of the season.

The Gladiators picked up an insurance goal 7:06 into the final period. Flache took a shot from the left point that Laplante stopped, but the rebound fell to the goaltender's left, and was tipped home by Steve Slonina for his 20th goal of the season.

Perfect tic-tac-toe passing led to the Gladiators fourth goal of the night at 15:17. Evan Nielsen fed Anthony Aquino, who fed Brandon Dietrich in the right-wing circle. Dietrich tipped the puck past Laplante for his 10th tally of the year.

Season tickets are now on sale for the 2004-2005 season. For more information, or to place your order, call the Pride office at (843) 669-7825.
