The Crunch went ahead late in the second period when Grant Clistome broke the 1-1 tie scoring on a one-timer from Tom Sestito at the 15:50 mark.
Maksim Mayorov recorded his second point of the game and put the Crunch up 3-1 when Steve Kelly intercepted a Toronto pass and hit Mayorov in stride. Mayorov picked up his own rebound off of Munro on a breakaway 3:15 into the third period.
With two minutes left in the game, Crunch goaltender Dan LaCosta, was barreled over but was alright to stay in the game and finished strong saving 35 of 36 shots, while earning first star of the game honors
