SAN ANTONIO (Mar. 9, 2006) - The Phoenix Coyotes today announced that they have acquired center Joel Perrault from the Anaheim Mighty Ducks in exchange for defenseman Sean O'Donnell. Perrault was immediately assigned to the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League (AHL), the Coyotes' top minor league affiliate.

The 22-year-old Perrault was originally drafted by Anaheim in the 5th round (137th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
In his first season as a Coyote, O'Donnell collected 1-7-8 and 121 PIM in 57 games. The 34-year-old blueliner joined the Coyotes on July 6, 2004 when he signed as a free agent.
