Milley Back With Falcons

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that forward Norm Milley has been reassigned to the Falcons by their National Hockey League affiliate, the Tampa Bay Lightning. Milley is expected to join the Falcons on Friday as they prepare to host the Hartford Wolf Pack starting at 7:35 PM at the MassMutual Center.

Milley was originally recalled by the Lightning on January 3, 2006 and recorded two goals and one assist in 14 games with Tampa Bay this year. Milley scored his first NHL goal January 17 at the Los Angeles Kings, and scored his second goal February 4 against the Washington Capitals.

Milley is in his sixth season of professional hockey and at the time of his recall, he was second on the Falcons in scoring with 12 goals and 20 assists for 32 points in 34 games played. The 6-foot, 195-pound native of Toronto, Ontario remains second on the team in power play goals with seven and he converted on the Falcons' only penalty shot of the season on December 11 at Providence. Milley was signed by the Lightning as a free agent this past summer after spending the previous five seasons within the Buffalo Sabres organization.

The Falcons return to action on Friday, March 10 when they host the Hartford Wolf Pack starting at 7:35 PM. Springfield also hosts the Providence Bruins on Saturday, March 11 at 7:05 PM. All games can be heard live on the Falcons Hockey Network, WMAS AM 1450, as "The Voice" of the Falcons John Michael handles the play-by-play duties. All games can also be seen live through the B-2 Network for only $6.00.
