Former Crunch Star Reggie Savage to Coach in Annual Time Warner/MVP Health Care Crunch Classic

Syracuse, NY (March 9, 2006) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that former Crunch star Reggie Savage will participate in the Annual Time Warner/MVP Health Care Crunch Classic on Saturday, March 11.
Savage will coach in the Crunch's Annual Time Warner/MVP Health Care Classic that will be held on Saturday, March 11 at 3:00 p.m. In addition to Savage, Crunch head coach Gary Agnew, assistant coach Ross Yates and WSTM meteorologist Wayne Mahar will be in attendance. The Time Warner/MVP Health Care Crunch Classic will be open to the public.
Savage, 35, appeared in 166 games with Syracuse (1995-96, 1999-00 and 2000-01), tallying 82 goals, 63 assists and 253 penalty minutes. He is currently second on the Crunch's all-time power play goals list with 36, fourth with 82 goals all-time, fifth with five short-handed goals, eighth with eight game-winning goals and ninth with 145 points. In 481 career AHL games with Baltimore, Cornwall, Syracuse, Springfield and Milwaukee, Savage recorded 259 goals, 183 assists and 557 penalty minutes. He registered 5 goals, 7 assists and 28 penalty minutes in 34 career NHL games with Washington and Quebec. A native of Montreal, Quebec, Savage originally selected by the Washington Capitals in the first round, 15th overall, in the 1988 Entry Draft.

Following the Time Warner/MVP Health Care Crunch Classic, Reggie Savage will participate in the ceremonial puck-drop prior to the Crunch's game on Saturday, March 11 against Toronto. During the first intermission, Savage will be available for autographs.
