Redlihs Returns to Albany

Albany N.Y. - The Albany River Rats announced today that defenseman Krisjanis Redlihs has been reassigned by the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League.

Redlihs, 25, leads all River Rat defenders with a career-high 23 (3-20) points in 53 games during the 2005-06 campaign. He represented Latvia at the recent XX Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy where he went scoreless with three shots on goal and a minus four rating in five qualifying match-ups. Redlihs did not skate while with New Jersey and was originally drafted by the Devils with their seventh choice (154th overall) in the 2002 National Hockey League Entry Draft.

The Albany River Rats return to action on Friday March 10, 2006 when they host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 7:00pm face-off at Pepsi Arena. It will be another Radio Disney Family Fun Friday with games, music and prizes along with the club's four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and a family portrait for $44 Rat Pack deal. The game broadcast can be heard live starting at 6:45pm with the Capitaland Motors GMC pre-game show on Moon Radio AM 1160 WABY with a simulcast on Real Oldies 1240 WVKZ. Each game during the regular season can be viewed for a nominal fee and heard free of charge online at www.albanyriverats.com .

The Albany River Rats, owned and operated by Capital District Sports Inc., are in their 13th American Hockey League campaign and serve as the primary affiliate of the National Hockey League's New Jersey Devils.
