Bakersfield Condors News Release

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, announced today they have signed rookie F Eric Ehn. The announcement was made by Head Coach Marty Raymond. He is expected to make his professional debut tonight as the Condors host the Idaho Steelheads for the annual Teddy Bear Toss.

Ehn (EEN), 24, enters the professional ranks after completing his college career at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Dexter, Michigan, native played four seasons for the Falcons, leading the team in scoring as a sophomore and junior. His 64 points during his junior season (2006-07) ranked second in the nation, and earned him First Team All-Conference and the Atlantic Hockey Association Player of the Year honors. He helped lead the Air Force Academy to an AHA Conference Championship in 2007 and the school's first berth in the NCAA Tournament.

Also in 2006-07, Ehn became the first military service academy player ever selected as a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award, given annually to the top college hockey player in the United States. He graduated from the AF Academy and is currently stationed at Vandenberg AFB on the California Central Coast.

"Eric is out here living in California and looking to keep playing," said Raymond. "He was a great college player, and a smart player, and we're a little short tonight so we hope he can help us out."

In other Condors roster moves, LW Bobby Bolt was placed on the 7-IR today. He will be eligible to be activated on Dec. 6. G Yutaka Fukufuji, the Condors all-time leader in wins, saves and minutes, was activated on Friday and is expected to make his season debut tonight.
